Description:

When the tapioca roots have fully developed, they are harvested and undergo various processes such as drying, cleaning and skin peeling. Only the good parts that contain high level of starch are kept, which are ground into powder. The powder is then passed through layers of screening to separate the fiber. The very fine flour left is the final product.

Usage / Purpose:

Tapioca flour is a cost-saving alternative for corn starch and tapioca starch due to its much lower price. Tapioca flour can be used as a replacement for corn starch and tapioca starch in many industries such as:
